At Horizon Print Solutions, we strive to produce the highest quality work at a reasonable price.
The following guidelines are to help insure that the best possible output may be obtained without incurring additional prepress artwork charges. If your files are not prepared as described, we will contact you with any problems, additional artwork charges and any delay in the production schedule.
Applications
Recommended: Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Contained within this suite is Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign & Adobe Acrobat. We support these applications on both MAC & PC formats.
Accepted: Any earlier version of Adobe Creative Suite Software.
Not Recommended: Freehand, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point and other non-industry standard applications. These applications are not supported by most output houses. We cannot guarantee color stability or output to film on applications otherthan those recommended above.
Graphics files with text
All files submitted that contain text should be converted to Vector Images (curves). All fonts should be identified and included in your submission to assure that any changes may be made if necessary.
Colors
Files should be saved with PMS, Spot Colors or as 4 color process (CMYK). RGB, iRGB and Index colors are not acceptable for output. Please identify any PMS colors to your Horizon Sales Representative and in your files. Digital printing cannot reproduce exact PMS colors. The nearest color values will be substituted. Please request Press Proof for approval if color is crucial on any Digital Output.
General Information
When submitting art via e-amil, disks or CDs, include all fonts and linked or embedded images.
Low resolution images (example: 72 dpi) are not acceptable for output. Please provide image with resolution no less than 300 dpi. Do Not submit images downloaded from the World Wide Web!
Files requiring bleeds should be prepared with at least 1/8″ bleed on all sides.
FTP site upload procedures: Horizon Print Solutions prefers to receive large files either via
CD/DVD or electronically via client upload to our FTP site. ISP protocol prohibits and/or otherwise discourages transfer of substantial files via email. For this purpose, an FTP site is a pass code protected internet mail server within the cloud where large files can be placed to be downloaded by our prepress department for entry. If you require access to the FTP secure severe, please ask your Sales Representative. You will be sent a link to your email address to gain access.
